Privacy Promise

TrackBlock is built with a simple philosophy: your privacy is not a feature — it is a right. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data. Period.

Introduction

Nazroq ("we," "our," or "us") operates the TrackBlock Chrome Extension. This Privacy Policy explains how TrackBlock handles your data. By installing and using TrackBlock, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Data Collection

TrackBlock does not collect any personal data. Specifically:

  • No user accounts or registration required
  • No personal information collected
  • No email content uploaded or transmitted
  • No external processing of any kind
  • No data sold to third parties
  • No advertising or ad networks
  • No analytics or tracking scripts
  • No telemetry or usage reporting

How the Extension Works

TrackBlock scans the content of emails you open in your browser to detect hidden tracking pixels. All analysis is performed locally on your device using JavaScript running within the extension's isolated environment.

When TrackBlock detects a tracking pixel, it displays information about the tracker directly in your browser interface. You can then choose to block or allow each tracker. No data about these actions is sent anywhere.

Permissions Used

TrackBlock requires the following Chrome permissions to function:

Storage

Used to store your block/allow preferences locally in your browser. No data is synced to any server.

Host Access (Gmail)

Required to scan email content for tracking pixels on Gmail. The extension only runs on email provider domains and never accesses unrelated websites.

Local Browser Storage

TrackBlock uses Chrome's storage.local API to save your preferences. This data stays exclusively on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. The stored data includes:

  • Your block/allow preferences for known trackers
  • Extension settings you configure

You can clear this data at any time through Chrome's extension management page.

Third-Party Services

TrackBlock does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services. The extension operates entirely within your browser with no external dependencies for its core functionality.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TrackBlock after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
